These are the regulations for the 3rd Annual races that were held July 4th, 2010. There are not any major regulation changes expected for the 2011 race. For the super modified class a tether device that kills the mower if the driver falls off will be required.

2010 Lawnmower Race Regulations

For 2010 there is one change from prior years. Decks are not required on any class of mower. Additionally there will be two new competitions, drag racing and a burn out competition.

Oval Track:

Super Modified Class: $25 entry fee. Anything goes. Must have hood. Helmet required for driver.

Modified Class:  $15 entry fee. Maximum 25HP. Must have hood. Helmet required for driver.

Stock mowers and zero turn mowers: $10 entry fee. Stock means stock. No after factory modifications.  

 Push mower races: $1 entry fee. Motor required, does not have to run but you do.

Drag Race:

Super modified and Modified. Same regs as oval track. Drag race track approximately 200 feet. Entry fee to be announced.

All classes (except for pushmowers) must have riding mower appearance. Working blade not required for any class. Prize is progressive and pending on entry fees.

All decisions by the judges on race day are final.
